23 Things I've Learned in 23 Years

  1.  It's okay to go it alone. It wasn't until I was dancing alone in the second row after being ditched at a chainsmokers show for me to realize i'm able to have just as much fun alone as I would with friends.
  2. You will meet certain people that will touch your heart in the best way possible. Don't let them go.
  3. Friends are great but sometimes you've gotta save yourself.
  4. If you're unhappy with your job, leave and find a new one. I cant stress this enough.
  5. Invest in some good skincare.
  6. Guys are dumb but there are a select few that are worth your time.
  7. A wine night with your best friend can and will fix everything.
  8. TJMAXX is the best department store ever created.
  9. It's okay to be sad but don't dwell on it. Our problems are so small.
  10. NEVER bleach your own hair. What the hell was I thinking.
  11. Wear comfortable shoes to general admission concerts.
  12. Don't build that wall too high. I know you've been hurt many times before but don't keep EVERYONE out.
  13. Life is way too short to spend your time with people that hold you back.
  14. Find that one friend you'd do anything for.
  15. Travel as much as you can. Even if it's in your own city.
  16. Don't pop your pimples.
  17. Your mom will always be your #1 supporter. Don't forget about her.
  18. Research your tattoo artist before getting that first spontaneous tattoo.
  19. Go at your own pace. You don't need to be where everyone else is.
  20. Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is listen.
  21. Don't let your comfort zone keep you from doing amazing things.
  22. Write in that journal you bought last year. You'll thank yourself later.
  23. Know that you're always growing and changing. Keep bettering yourself not only for you but for those around you.

I gave up regular bras a long time ago.  No girl should ever have to suffer the annoying pain of wearing an uncomfortable wire bra (ouch).  So for me, bralettes are the way to go.  I have somewhat of a large collection so I thought i'd show you some of the more affordable options that you can find at the famous dun dun dun ...... forever 21! Yep, all of these were purchased from Forever 21 and I am in love with each and every one of them.

I'm starting a new series of my "most loved" items and January seems like the perfect time to start.  Some of these items were Christmas presents and the others are things I've treated myself to within the past month or so.

I purchased these Quay sunglasses a couple days ago and I am completely in love. They are matte black with gold details.  They weren't too expensive and you can tell the quality is awesome.

Bralettes just might be my favorite thing in the whole wide world- especially pretty lace ones.  I purchased this one from forever 21.

Benefit Bad Gal mascara has been one of my all time favorites for a while. I always go back to it when I'm not sure what mascara to buy.

If you haven't tried any of the Fresh sugar lip balms, I highly suggest that you do!  They are a bit pricey but by far the best lip balm I've ever used!  I have the original which is my personal favorite cause it smells like lemon. :)

Last but not least, I was lucky enough to receive the Thai Lily perfume for Christmas.  I was in Anthropology lusting after absolutely everything in the bedroom decor section and I came across this lovely stuff and fell in love.  As soon as we left the store, my sister went back in and bought it for me.. sneaky thing. The notes are bali mango, blood orange and brazilian teak.

Step up my blogging game - My posts are so sporadic, it terrible.
Attend church every Sunday
Write in my journal once a day (or as much as possible)
Take more polaroids
Go hiking / do yoga at least once a week
Learn that I don't need to rely on others for happiness
Better myself and my overall mind-set
Learn to be more open about trying new things aka not being afraid to say 'yes'

I love reading resolutions so leave me some of yours to read! :)
